The Society produces two regular publications:
For more than 160 years, the Society has published a journal, the Transactions of the Worcestershire Archaeological Society. This covers all aspects of the archaeology and history of Worcestershire and it’s published every other year and is free to Members. To learn more about the county’s history or where you live, it’s an essential read.
Copies of the Transactions can be found on Level 2 of The Hive in Worcester, and many other libraries across the county. Find your nearest copy in the County Library catalogue.
We are currently scanning all the Transactions so that they can be accessed online from your home. Until this project is complete, you can access a subject index covering 1854 – 2022.
If you’re interested in publishing in the Transactions, please drop us an email.
The Worcestershire Recorder is a newsletter which is sent to all members for free, twice a year. This keeps members up to date with the activities of the Society and contains news on the latest discoveries and research from archaeologists working in the County. Why not read through our recent issues?
